Based on true events MONSOON CHRISTMAS etches in flesh and blood a gripping tale of festering racial tension on a remote military base in the rain-swept jungles of Okinawa at the close of the Vietnam War.

 TELEVISION  ACTORS – ROGER MOSLEY (Magnum P.I.)  — TOMMY FORD (Martin / New York Undercover)

Throughout  the course of  many productions  MONSOON CHRISTMAS starred two popular TV actors  —  ROGER  MOSLEY who played Tom Selleck’s sidekick, ‘TC,’  in the long-running CBS series MAGNUM P.I.  and TOMMY FORD who played ‘Tommy’ in the wildly successful FOX series MARTIN ;  Ford later  starred as Lt. Malcolm Barker in NEW YORK UNDERCOVER.

FORD also won the NAACP BEST ACTOR AWARD for his powerful portrayal of a troubled, former Black Panther in the Los Angeles production of MONSOON CHRISTMAS.

Throughout its production history MONSOON CHRISTMAS has received a total of  TEN AWARDS (NAACP, LA Weekly, Drama-Logue) and SEVEN CRITIC’S CHOICE REVIEWS  (Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, L.A. Herald Examiner, L.A. Daily News, Drama-Logue, South Florida Sun Sentinel and the Palm Beach Daily News).

The play also garnered TEN FEATURE ARTICLES  in the following major print markets: Los Angeles Times, LA Weekly, Palm Beach Post Times, Kravis Ovations and a four page cover story in Palm Beach Magazine.

Based on true events Monsoon Christmas etches in flesh and blood a tale of festering racial tension on a remote military base in the rain swept jungles of Northern Okinawa at the close of the Vietnam War.

 Over the course of many productions the play starred two TV actors – Roger E. Mosley who played ‘T.C.’ in the CBS hit series Magnum P.I. and Tommy Ford who played the wildly popular character ‘Tommy Strawn’ in Martin — one of  Fox’s highest rated sitcoms.

Monsoon won four NAACP Awards and eight NAACP nominations. It received seven critic’s choice reviews in major print markets between coasts  and appeared on the Los Angeles Times Critic’s Choice list for a record-breaking seven months.

Monsoon Christmas was selected from fifty plays by South Florida’s Kravis Center for the Performing Arts for an AEA Kravis production starring Roger Mosley. The show, produced  and directed by Hartman, received two critic’s choice reviews, six feature articles and was noted by the Miami Herald to “signal an important step in Southeastern regional theatre development.”
